The first days after restoration matter. Follow the cure time, keep grit away, and restart cleaning with products suited to the new finish.
The first few days
Respect the recommended time before walking on, covering, mopping, or returning furniture to the surface. A sealer may feel dry before it has fully cured.
Use clean protective pads on furniture legs and avoid dragging anything across the floor. Keep rugs and moisture away until the technician confirms they can return.
The long-term routine
Sweep or dust regularly, clean spills promptly, and use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Clean mats and soft tools help keep grit from becoming abrasive underfoot.
Schedule a check based on traffic and absorption rather than waiting for the finish to fail. Early maintenance is usually simpler than correcting years of buildup.
