Choose the Right Stone Service by Symptom

Dirt, dullness, deep scratches, old wax, and absorption each point toward a different first step.

Match the symptom

Embedded dirt and soap residue usually start with cleaning. Deep scratches and lippage point toward grinding. A soft matte finish may call for honing, while lost reflection and light etching may call for polishing.

Yellowed or peeling surface material often needs stripping before any refinishing. Fast absorption or darkening points toward a sealing assessment, provided the stone is clean and dry.

Why a combination is common

Stone restoration is a sequence, not a menu where one service fixes everything. A floor may need stripping, cleaning, grinding, honing, polishing, and sealing in that order—or only one or two steps.

A professional estimate prevents unnecessary work and helps set the right expectation for the final finish. Describe the result you want as well as the damage you see.
